Hawaii Web Group

Web Design Portfolio

We LOVE making beautiful fun websites.  But, alas, the web changes constantly, so even some of our recent sites below have already been rebuilt!  We still build sites, but not for clients anymore.  There are plenty of skilled Maui web designers we can refer if you need work done.

MauiNutritionalTherapy.com

Client: Maui Nutritional Therapy

After over a year of remarkable results from using Maui Nutritional Therapy’s services, it was a no-brainer to help them with a new site. Nicole has literally changed our lives for the better. This is a simple site built in WordPress, responsive, and has some beautiful imagery.

SportingClubOfThePacific.com

Client: Sporting Club of the Pacific

This site is unlike most we’ve created. It’s in WordPress using multiple pages to drive across graphic and image heavy content to its users. The site is unique in it’s feel and vision, and the products are out of this world!

MillHouseMaui.com

Client: Maui Tropical Plantation

This was a rebuild from the original site for Maui Executive Catering, which we still have another phase to complete. It shares this amazing restaurant, the farm and it’s surrounding property.

HoloHoloMauiTours.com

Client: Holo Holo Maui Tours

This site was a lot of fun to build. Responsive, WordPress, and a warm feel.

BaliInformationGuide.com

Client: Hawaii Web Group

This was a labor of love. We’re trying to do the same thing in Bali Indonesia that we’ve done here on Maui. We’ve sent our writer and photographer to live in Bali for at least one year, so you can expect a ton more content added soon.

MauiGuide.com

Client: Hawaii Web Group

Since we already have a very strong, broad Maui visitor site, we thought we’d use the amazing domain to build more of a review site for the island. We also incorporated 3 old sites into this one, including Maui-Maps.com, MauiHawaiiCatering.com and ArtonMaui.com. It’s responsive, WordPress, and very image-heavy.

ChiangMaiLocal.com

Client: Dano Sayles Team

We created a website specifically to promote a birthday bash and realtor convention in Thailand!

TaqueriaCruz.com

Client: Taqueria Cruz

We went above and beyond for this little taco shop in south Kihei. We LOVE their food, so we decided to build a beautiful responsive WordPress site along with do a full photo shoot, build a gorgeous video, and of course sample everything…again. Since building their site and promoting them, they’re seeing a big bump in nightly guest count.

BabyMaui.com

Client: Hawaii Web Group

We had a very talented intern from Germany with us for 3 months, and she put together a bunch of great designs for baby and children’s clothing and accessories. This site helps us sell those designs on an assortment of products.

MolokiniCrater.com

Client: Hawaii Web Group

Newly rebuilt, this site is in WordPress, mainly because we needed a mobile friendly site. It’s responsive, and we were able to convert the popular Flash home page map into HTML5 with CSS3. We’ve also added a blog component.

Youzouxiaweiyi.com

Client: Hawaii Web Group

Because the Chinese are starting to visit Hawaii more than ever, we created a website written by our Chinese partners at China Foundations. This Mandarin site is the sister site to our MauiGuide.com

SnubaMaui.com

Client: Anonymous

We wanted to be a little more creative with the animations in this parallax, one-page responsive WordPress site. We think you’ll like the snuba couple as they descend.

MauiExecutiveCatering.com

Client: Maui Executive Catering

We didn’t intend to take on another site this year, but when the opportunity presented itself, we were honored to build their site. Maui Executive Catering is an absolute monster in the culinary world. They’ve made a name for themselves on Maui, but the rest of the world is just starting to hear about them. Chef Jeff Scheer is likely to be a household name in the next few years.

We used Bootstrap and WordPress to build this visually stimulating website. It’s got some great features as well as ticket booking for their intimate Maui Chef’s Table events.

MauiCar-Rentals.com

Client: Hawaii Web Group

The original site we had here was a dinosaur. We had to revamp it if anyone was going to take it seriously. It’s now a very clean and easy site to navigate with loads of excellent information and a booking form for car rentals on Maui.

IaoValleyInn.com

Client: Iao Valley Inn

This was our first time working with a hotel booking system. We built this static site using Bootstrap, and we love the responsive, clean feel of the site. Lots of photo slideshows, custom map, and great information about the area.

For fun, we also created a great video showing the property, inside and out! Check it out on the home page.

LahainaTown.com

Client: Hawaii Web Group

We found there was a need to offer a better map online for visitors looking for particular slips at the Lahaina Boat Harbor. Initially, we intended to just build maps and information for harbor visitors, but the more we researched the more we realized there wasn’t enough quality information about Lahaina on the web.We found there was a need to offer a better map online for visitors looking for particular slips at the Lahaina Boat Harbor. Initially, we intended to just build maps and information for harbor visitors, but the more we researched the more we realized there wasn’t enough quality information about Lahaina on the web.

Now there is! We’ve shared information, maps and photos on places to stay, eat, beaches, events, activities, homes for sale, as well as the diverse history of the area. The site is responsive and attractive.

RoadToHana.com

Client: Hawaii Web Group

This was our first time building a site that’s completely responsive (since this, we’ve created many more, and it’s doubtful we’ll ever build unresponsive again.) That means that the site is optimized to look differently on every type of device and screen size. The code is clean, the custom maps are cool, and the site has loads of information that people love.

This was one of the more challenging sites we’ve built because we wanted to share the best spots along the Road to Hana with visitors while not upsetting the local people of Hana. We teamed up with some Hana locals that walked us through which spots they didn’t mind us sending visitors.

Since creating this site, RoadToHana.com has become very popular and is recognized as one of the best authority sites for the area.

TwinFallsMaui.net

Client: Wailele Farm

After the success of RoadToHana.com, the good people of Wailele Farm approached us to help them increase awareness of the farm around the falls. Twin Falls gets millions of visitors, so they didn’t need more traffic. Instead, their goal is to inform visitors about their mission and how this private land is open to the public because they choose to share the plentiful valley.

Wailele Farm appreciated how we treated the Road to Hana sensitively, and we continue to share their mission and goals, and increase awareness of dangers along streams and waterfalls. We also created a detailed video sharing the property and giving directions. Our custom map also helps visitors understand the layout of the property.

They wanted to encourage sharing through social media, so we incorporated a few Instagram feeds around the site. If you visit, take photos and hashtag #TwinFallsMaui to have your photos show up on the home page of this popular, responsive site!

MauiInformationGuide.com

Client: Hawaii Web Group

Recognized as an official authority of Maui tourism, Maui Information Guide is found for over 10,000 keywords and ranks #1 for dozens of high volume searches. Touching on almost every subject possible for Maui, this guide is enjoyed for its thorough analysis of subjects as well as the beautiful photos and videos present within the content.

Its thousands of pages are viewed on all devices, thanks to its responsive nature. Hawaii Web Group spent over 2 years testing and rebuilding the site. User experience was our number 1 priority, and we think it shows.

The site also has a blog component that is contributed to weekly that can be found at Maui.bz.

MauiWebCameras.com

Client: Hawaii Web Group

We’re in the webcam game! What we’ve done here is aggregated most of the available webcams on Maui and added links and feeds to them. We’ve also started putting up our own HD cameras in ideal locations.

This site began with a BANG with good amounts of traffic that sustains long viewing times.

BikeMaui.com

Client: Haleakala Bike Company

Haleakala Bike Company needed their old site rebuilt. They’re #1 for most all Maui bike keywords, so it was important that we build it in the most search friendly way, without hurting it’s current ranking. The new site adheres to Google Webmaster Guidelines and uses code that search engines prefer over the old site.

We were drawn to working with Haleakala Bike Company because they have the best safety record of any bike company (and we enjoy making the journey with them!)

MauiGoodness.com

Client: Hawaii Web Group

We do a lot of promotion for Hawaii websites and activities. This simple blog site was built to give us a little release from the Always Positive aspects of Hawaii. We wanted a place to write some unbiased material. Since it’s creation, the site has blown up with a high volume of traffic. Something we didn’t intend or expect. Since we’ve noticed the upswing in traffic, we continue to write about whatever we want. We do activities, go to events and think about the negative and positive of each situation.

Maui-Maps.com

Client: Hawaii Web Group

This is one of our favorite websites ever made. Our visitors love the Flash interactive map on the home page. Each location and activity page has a Twitter feed for each subject, video, photos, local tips, and detailed information. Feel free to poke around and enjoy the site. We’ve spent a lot of time to make it great.

FloatingSurfVillas.com

Client: Floating Surf Villas Indonesia

This site has been rebuilt several times since we created what you see above. We loved the original concept and feel, which was designed before the surf villas were even complete. It had infographics, a warm, surreal feel, and great images.

The owners made the decision to rebuild the site with a content management system.

MauiSailing.com

Client: Hawaii Web Group

We used a premium domain name to secure a URL that can be identified as an authority for this particular activity. The site has some custom-built maps of the harbors as well as photos, directions, information, and a list of the many sailing tours available on the island. The site uses pure CSS and HTML. We used really clean and lean code and we’ve featured some new additions that add to the overall fun of the site. (We like that the sails are transparent!) We plan on promoting this site and getting it to #1 for most all Maui Sailing keywords.

MauiRealEstateAndDevelopment.com

Client: Hawaii Life

This altered wordpress blog was regularly updated by our content writer, of whom was heavily involved in the industry. There are thousands of real estate websites for the island of Maui, but this one is very different. It offers unbiased information and news on current and future developments on Maui. Our goal wasn’t to buy or sell our visitors property, but instead to inform with a high-level of accuracy.

We’ve since sold the site to Hawaii Life.

MauiSurfing.com

Client: Hawaii Web Group

There are many surf schools on Maui, but few offer the kind of information avid surfers are looking for. We’ve put together information on different ocean board sports, surf spots, surf schools and surf reports for Maui, Hawaii.

AkiaWeddings.com

Client: Akia Weddings and Events

Maui wedding planners have stiff competition when working to promote their businesses online and in the real world. We put additional detail into this largely informational website. We worked hard to get them to #1 for our desired keywords, and have been successful in bringing in quite a bit of inquiries for wedding planning.

We’ve since stopped working with Akia and are not sure if they’ve continued operating.

HawaiiPhotography.com

Client: Hawaii Web Group

Our first community social platform, Hawaii Photography offers photographers from all over the ability to display their Hawaii work for free. With hundreds of active members, this site has quickly built up a following with many regularly contributing members and tens of thousands of photographs.

MauiCribs.com

Client: Motiv8 Productions

This project was built for a local videography company offering a powerful video content portal showing videos in an MTV-Cribs-Style. In the videos, we explored Maui luxury estates for rent and/or for sale. This was a powerful viral marketing approach for high-end real estate on Maui, Hawaii. We were not working towards quantity as much as towards quality of video. Everything must be HIGH-END!

NatalieBrownPhotography.com

Client: Natalie Brown Photography

Natalie Brown required a rebuild from our original site. This new one uses WordPress, so she can now edit the photos freely. Natalie is one of Maui’s top photographers for weddings and portraits. Her portfolios and blog keep her eager audience engaged with beautiful photos.

LahainaHalloween.com

Client: Hawaii Web Group

Our Lahaina Halloween site has information as well as very popular photo galleries of the costumed festivities held on Front Street each year. Seasonal, this site is very popular, especially for the photo galleries. On the site, there are a few fun flash components, but otherwise the site is built with CSS.

MauiWhaleWatchTours.com

Client: Hawaii Web Group

Maui Whale Watch Tours has quickly become one of the leading authorities on whale watching in Maui, Hawaii. It stands second only to the Pacific Whale Foundation in most searches. It has pages on identifying different whale behavior as well as photo galleries, and great information. It also lists all available whale watching boats on Maui with some recommended over others.

MauiPhotographers.org

Client: Hawaii Web Group

The Maui Photographers Organization is responsible for promoting top photographers on our island. With its targeted traffic, this site brings in quite a bit of inquiries for its members. All different types of photography categorize the Maui photographers. The site holds many #1 positions and hundreds of top ten positions within the Search Engines for popular, high-traffic keywords.

MolokiniMaui.com

Client: Boss Frog’s Dive & Surf

Completely built with CSS, this strong ranking website had a fully functioning customized OsCommerce shopping cart attached to it. Its primary reasons for being are to inform visitors about the Molokini Crater atoll as well as recommend the best vessels to use in getting there for snorkeling and diving.

Keonekai.com

Client: Hawaii Web Group

One of the finest condominium complexes in south Kihei, Keonekai Villages is located in a prime location next to the best beach park in Hawaii. The property is well landscaped with beautiful units, many of which have great views of the ocean and the mountains. This website has custom built maps, photos, video, and plenty of information on this complex. We discuss sales and rentals and have info on the different areas around the condo.

AuntieSnorkel.com

Client: Auntie Snorkel

We helped rebuild Auntie Snorkel in WordPress and successfully transitioned all the original pages to new, more attractive, and appropriately redirected pages. The site continues to undergo changes as new shopping carts are implemented to suit their changing needs.
